What Astra Verdix is
Astra Verdix is a governance-artifact and interlock system for AI-driven actions. It does not authorize actions. It produces a bound, signed governance artifact that downstream systems consume as an interlock before they act. The runtime evaluates proposals against a tenant's active policy, and the artifact carries the exact context, evidence, and rationale it was issued under.
The current hosted environment is the demo implementation of the model. The production architecture, including per-tenant key management, hardened idempotency, and expanded evidence adapters, is on the roadmap and not yet in this build.

Co-founder, CEO, and architect of the Astra product family. Leads the direction of the Astra Verdix marketable end-product, minimum viable product, and phase 2+ roadmaps, while overseeing organizational structure, finance, and operational delivery to the client. Translates decades of operating experience into product strategy and owns every architectural decision across Astra Engage, Astra Verdix, and future Astra siblings.
A strategic, visionary, and entrepreneurial executive with 20+ years as a CEO and three decades of operating-company experience. Founded and grew THUMBTECHS Corporation from a garage into one of Tarrant County's leading managed IT, network, voice, and fiber providers, pioneering the flat-rate managed-services model that became an industry standard and executing a successful exit in 2017. He also founded and leads Mebuis Business Advisors, MebuisWorks, and 1908 Builders — real companies with real P&L ownership across advisory, technology, and commercial construction.
At Astra Verdix, George is directly involved in R&D, code development, optimization, and the same hands-on, in-the-code discipline that produced Astra Engage. He designed and shipped Astra Engage 100% solo — an AI-native business operating system with 10+ modules including CRM, pipeline, proposals & e-signature, projects, portals, customer service, and the Astra AI Workbench — bringing that same builder mentality to Astra Verdix and setting him apart from many CEOs who do not know the code.

James Menefee
Co-founder · Chief Information Officer · Principal Architect
Co-founder, CIO, and principal architect of Astra Verdix. Leads product vision, technology strategy, system architecture, and development of the company's action-governance platform, translating business strategy into the technical roadmap and owning product architecture, engineering direction, security, infrastructure, data strategy, platform reliability, and operational readiness, plus technology planning for enterprise deployment, integration, scalability, and customer adoption.
Senior business and technology leader with more than two decades of experience in enterprise architecture, modernization, security, compliance, cloud strategy, and large-scale program delivery. As an Architect at Microsoft, James advises global organizations and senior executives on Microsoft 365, AI solutions, security, compliance, and cloud technologies. He has led internal teams, global incubation efforts, and cross-functional programs spanning engineering, sales, operations, and customer delivery, setting technical direction, aligning complex initiatives with business priorities, influencing product strategy, and driving execution across organizational boundaries.
At Astra Verdix, James owns the product's foundational architecture and governance model, including pre-execution decisioning, artifact-bound progression, replay, reversibility, and evidence-based control.
B.S. in Business Administration, Information Technology Management. Holds multiple Microsoft certifications spanning AI transformation leadership, AI business strategy, AI and agent administration, and Azure AI.
What we believe
- Governance artifacts, not authorizations. Astra Verdix does not tell a system what it may do. It produces a bound, verifiable artifact the executing system uses as an interlock, with the exact context, evidence, and policy version it was issued under.
- Deterministic where it can be, judgmental where it must be. Rule-based checks are reproducible byte-for-byte. Judgment, when invoked, is structured, bounded, and advisory-only; it does not change a deterministic disposition.
- Tenant isolation is a schema property, not a permission. Your policy, your evidence, your ledger. Never accessible to another tenant, ever.
- Verdicts must survive scrutiny. If a compliance team, auditor, insurer, or regulator asks why an action was allowed or blocked, the answer is a single link to a canonical, hash-verified record.
